Analyst: 'GTA IV will sell more on PS3'
Grand Theft Auto 4 will sell more on the PlayStation 3 than on the Xbox 360 despite exclusive content promised for the more widely-owned Microsoft console, analyst Michael Patcher has claimed.

Speaking to Reuters, Patcher said, "I think PS3 'wins' this battle", while a fellow analyst added: "So many people who owned the PS2 went into the PlayStation family because of GTA".

But analyst Billy Pidgeon believes gamers who own multiple consoles will buy the Xbox 360 version for its online play, stating: "Online is such a strong part of the game and Microsoft has done such a great job of developing the online community, so for people who own multiple consoles, they will buy it for the 360."

The game, which is predicted to take $400 million in its first week, will, predicts Patcher, sell two million on PS3 in 2008, but only half that on Xbox 360.

Grand Theft Auto IV will be released on Tuesday for Xbox 360 and PS3.
