Despite the full price version sitting at number seven in the latest all-formats chart, publisher Konami has announced that the best-selling Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is to be re-released at a reduced price on May 16.
The acclaimed football title will be released on budget for the PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox 360, with the new prices seeing the Xbox 360 game fall by £25 to £24.99 and the PS2 editon cut by £15 to £19.99.
Presently, there is no confirmed price for the PC edition of the game.
The Portable PlayStation, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii editions of the game will remain at their current price.
The announcement is expected to further boost sales of the Konami football game as the firm bids to stay in the top ten during the summer.
