Despite a significant 77% drop in sales, the Xbox 360 and PS3 title outsold second place Wii Fit by four copies to one after the exercise-based game saw its sales fall by 48%.
According to Chart Track, 62% of Grand Theft Auto IV sales were on the Xbox 360 during the past week, compared to 55% during its launch week.
Wii Play and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games are still peforming well, with only "a few hundred sales between them".
Overall, Nintendo has more titles in the top ten than any other publisher with four, while Sega is close behind with two after increased sales of its Iron Man: The Official Videogame saw it climb six places to become this week's number five.
Big hopes Speed Racer and Boom Blox both failed to enter the all-formats top 40, though the latter did manage to debut at number 15 in the Wii chart.
