Developer RedOctane has released a video for its forthcoming game Guitar Hero World Tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the game's electronic drum kit.

As part of the video, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stewart Copeland from The Police and Travis Barker of Blink 182 all talk about their involvement with the creation of the game's equipment.

Guitar Hero World Tour will, according to RedOctane, allow budding musicians to "live out their rock and roll fantasies by playing either a single instrument, or any combination of instruments, in addition to the full band experience".

As well as online gameplay, the title will introduce a new Battle of the Bands mode where eight online players can challenge each other to discover who is the best.

Guitar Hero World Tour is being developed for PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. A release date has yet to be announced.
