The current affairs programme, hosted by Jeremy Paxman, filmed two 13 year-old boys playing the 15-rated Mortal Kombat game in an attempt to illustrate the fact that youngsters play titles aimed at older people.
The episode, broadcast last Wednesday evening, saw reporter Liz MacKean speaking with one of the youngsters about playing adult games.
"A couple of my friends, yeah... they just get addicted to [games] - and then become really violent," one of the boys said.
"Really - actually violent?" replied MacKean.
"One friend, it affected them a lot. They used to be normal and really nice, but because of a game called Grand Theft Auto they got really violent and use a lot of bad language."
