'Age Of Conan' has a long-term future

The online title, which has now topped one million sales to make it officially the biggest MMO launch since World Of Warcraft, has been promised a "long, long shelf life" by Eidos chief Paul Benjamin.
Speaking to MCV, Benjamin said: "We will, of course, be supporting Age Of Conan with marketing activity for months. This is only the start of a continued campaign for a product which will have a long, long shelf life.”
The company boss also said he believes the title can complement Blizzard's best-selling World Of Warcraft franchise, which has over 10 million subscribers worldwide.
“The size of the World Of Warcraft audience is what all MMOs aspire to achieve, but Age Of Conan is offering a unique, more mature and visceral experience,” said Benjamin.
“We feel it offers an alternative to Warcraft rather than a replacement. Conan is a title that stands up on its own.”
