First 'Doctor Who' game episode revealed
Published Thursday, Apr 22 2010, 09:30 BST | By Matthew Reynolds
The first episode in the Doctor Who: The Adventure Games series has been revealed.
Titled 'City Of The Daleks', the Doctor and companion Amy Pond will travel to London in 1963 and discover that the Daleks have seized control of time and destroyed the human race.
After exploring the ravaged city, the duo will then travel to Skaro, the Daleks' home planet, and explore the capital city of Kaalann to save Earth.
"This is quite a series opener," said writer Phil Ford, who scripted 'Waters Of Mars'. "We destroy London even before the credits roll - so you can only begin to imagine where we travel to from there. 'City Of The Daleks' is as big-budget as you can imagine: from London we head to Kaalann, the capital city of the Daleks, one constructed from pure anger and hate."
The episode will feature the new breed of Daleks introduced in last week's 'Victory Of The Daleks', as voiced by Nicolas Briggs.
The first episode will be available for free from the BBC website on June 5 for PC and Mac.
