Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock has been given its first gameplay trailer.
The trailer highlights the classic enemies featured in the game, including Cybermen, Daleks, Silurians and The Silence.
Featuring Matt Smith's Doctor and Alex Kingston's River Song, players will control the pair as they travel across time and space to save the Earth.
The trailer provides a first look at how the game will play, showing both The Doctor and River Song working together in side-scrolling stages.
Announced last month, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will be the first in a series of new Doctor Who video games, with two more console titles planned for release later this year.
Developer Supermassive Games revealed on the PlayStation Blog that a different classic enemy was originally intended for the game but was replaced with The Silence. The cut enemy will return in future titles.
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is being developed by Supermassive Games for digital download platforms and is set for release in early 2012, initially on PlayStation 3, the new PlayStation Vita handheld and PC platforms.
