The reason for their expressions is that the water, rather than being warm, is probably freezing. Its a known method to combat muscle ache and tiredness after exercise. That aside, any chance of the gorgeous Ben Sheppard with his top off?

The first pic looks like a clip from a David Cronenberg movie "The Hair Horror", the second is Danny doing a spookily accurate impersonation of one of Shelley Duvall's two facial expressions in "The Shining".
