Last year The X Factor supplied as much loin-teasing talent as an episode of Countryfile. One of Eton Road looked alright after his locks had been thoroughly mauled by the old hair straighteners, but generally the pickings were slim, slim, slim.

But this year Simon Cowell & co have made amends in the lithe, gym-honed form of Andy Williams, an asbestos removal guy from Newport in Wales. Now, we don't know much about asbestos, but Andy is free to take anything he wants from our underlay whenever the fancy takes him.
