Welcome to Digital Spy's liveblog of the 2005 MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival!
We've dispatched Neil Wilkes to Edinburgh for the next few days and he'll be moblogging all the latest news and gossip from the festival. Also look out for news roundups on major events and occasional photo entries.
Because many events at the festival will occur simultaneously, we've picked out between five and seven events per day to attend. Planned coverage highlights include "One Vision" with BBC One controller Peter Fincham, "24Ever" with 24 executive producer Evan Katz, "Freeview vs Pay TV" with Channel 4's Andy Duncan, Sky's Dawn Airey and Video Networks' Roger Lynch, and many more events. Neil will be posting more details on this on Thursday evening.
Comment posting will be enabled on all blog entries and you can always have your say in the Broadcasting and TV Programmes forums.
Blogging begins in full on Thursday night, with the festival itself taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
