Once again the TV industry has descended upon the Scottish capital for a Bank Holiday weekend of informed debate and speeches. Mostly though it's just an excuse to get sloshed with your peers.
No such luck for me - for today at least - as I'm here bright-and-early-ish, along with our roving reporter Dan Saney, to bring you all the gossip from the first day of the festival.
Highlights today include controller interviews with Richard Woolfe (Sky One), Julian Bellamy (BBC Three) and Peter Fincham (BBC One), as well as sessions with Sir Trevor McDonald and the heads of drama at ITV and the BBC. Later this evening is an interesting one - the soon-to-depart Charles Allen will be delivering the keynote MacTaggart speech.
As a note of interest, the TV in the press centre has been stuck on Psychic TV for most of the afternoon. The reason for us enduring this torture is so that it links in with a session later on, apparently. I. Don't. Care.
Do check in regularly today - and indeed across the weekend - for the latest updates!
