GCap axes Torrington in network shake-up

The long-running phone-in programme, which was hosted by Graham Torrington will be replaced by a new music show.
GCap will also overhaul the mid-morning slot, networking a programme presented by Capital 95.8's Philippa Collins across many of its One Network stations between 10am and 1pm.
Several operators are increasing networked hours - where shows are broadcast across a group of stations rather than originating from a local station - after Ofcom relaxed its restrictions earlier this year.
Gcap's new owner Global Radio extended networking across Galaxy and Heart stations in April while GMG Radio has announced networked programming will air on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
