BBC pay football boss over allegations

The BBC has paid a four-figure sum to football club manager John Gregory after Radio 5 Live falsely claimed he had acted improperly in the transfer market.
The corporation has also broadcast a retraction of the allegations, which were made during a 5 Live sports bulletin last December.
The report claimed that the Derby boss had been accused of improper transfer dealings by the Football Association during his time at Aston Villa, causing Gregory to write a letter of complaint to the BBC.
"The BBC were very sensible and sorted it out quickly before there was any need to take the complaint to the courts," said Korieh Duodu of David Price Solicitors & Advocates, acting on behalf of Gregory.
