The Radio Academy have announced plans to broadcast the Sony Radio Award nominations ceremony via the internet for the second successive year.
The ceremony, which will be held this Wednesday, will be accessible to every member of the radio industry and others via the webcast, which will be transmitted in association with Windows Media Technologies.
Mike Smith and Sarah Greene will announce the nominations for each of the 28 categories at London's Commonwealth Club from 7pm, in preparation for the main ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on May 8.
"I am thrilled that this brave experiment is to continue and remain convinced that our industry will continue to harness the very best elements of all developing technologies," said John Bradford of the Radio Academy committee.
The ceremony will be transmitted at the Sony Radio Awards website.
