International PVR sales increase by 91%

Some 473,000 units were sold in the 12 months to April, while sales by value rose by 44.2% to £50.5m.
Despite the strong growth, set-top boxes without hard disks were still far ahead, with a 17.8% year-on-year increase taking sales to 4.3m units.
Market research firm GfK said the cheapest STBs were continuing to grow in popularity and represented 58.8% of sales in 2007/8, up from 26.4%.
