Capital gain second Chrysalis DJ

Capital Radio have signed up a second Chrysalis DJ in less than a month by snapping Heart Midlands presenter Phil Upton to join its BRMB station.
Upton, who originally began his career at the Birmingham station, will front the station's 10am-1pm slot on weekdays from July 2, alongside the Saturday Rhythm Birmingham show between 5pm and 7pm.
"Having had over half of Heart's weekly audience tuning him to him, he's already proved himself a massive hit with listeners," said Adam Bridge, BRMB's programme controller.
Upton's appointment comes only three weeks after the defection of Heart's London breakfast host Emma Forbes to Capital FM's weekend show, and is the latest of a number of changes made by Capital to freshen the image of its stations.
