ntl Commerical Radio Awards roundup
Published Friday, Jun 27 2003, 17:26 BST | By James Welsh
Described as "the most successful yet", the ntl Commercial Radio Awards 2003 were held on Thursday night in central London.
2003 holds a special symbolism for the commercial radio industry, being thirty years since the first official independent local radio station, LBC, went on air. It was therefore fitting that Douglas Cameron, who was with the station when it first went on air in 1973 and is still with LBC thirty years later, won the ntl/IRN Newslink Commercial Radio Special Award.
