BBC mobile video and audio use booms
Published Saturday, Jul 26 2008, 10:27 BST | By Dave West

Between January and May the number of views almost doubled and the length of time spent viewing or listening on mobiles nearly quadrupled, said Jason DaPonte, managing editor of mobile platforms, in a blog posting.
"We're not sure exactly why the change has happened so suddenly, but I reckon it has to do with more devices being wi-fi-enabled and/or having larger screens," he wrote.
DaPonte said the amount of BBC sports video content available on mobiles was increasing, with recent coverage including the Liverpool Tall Ships Race and Euro 2008 football highlights.
