JoAnne Good, presenter of the Brighton breakfast show on BBC Southern Counties Radio is moving to the overnight slot on BBC London 94.9 later this month.
The BBC has announced that the former Crossroads star will begin presenting on the station's 2am-6am slot from Monday, October 20th. Good said:
"Six crazy years behind the mike in a city full of eccentrics – I've never had such fun. It's time to see if London will appreciate me now. Julie Burchill fell in love with me and my breakfast show in Brighton, it will be interesting to see if she follows me up the M23. I expect Brighton and Hove council hopes she will!"
David Robey, BBC London 94.9's Managing Editor, said:
"JoAnne is a unique talent. Her engaging, idiosyncratic style is going to fit BBC London 94.9FM perfectly. Our night-owl listeners are in for a real nocturnal treat."
