Forbes 'won't return' to Heart

Emma Forbes won't be given back her old job at Heart FM, station owners Chrysalis have said.
The presenter originally quit as co-host of the breakfast show seven months ago to take up a new job at Capital, making no secret of her desire to work on the new breakfast show with Johnny Vaughan. When it emerged that she wasn't to be guaranteed the job, however, she began talks to terminate her Capital contract eleven months early.
Now she won't be able to return to the Heart breakfast show, having been replaced by Harriet Scott.
"We certainly wouldn't consider her for the co-host slot on the breakfast show," Chrysalis CEO Paul Riley told the Media Guardian. "We were delighted that Emma's leaving gave us the opportunity to put Harriet in the slot and her and Jono have performed very well together."
Riley added that Forbes had called the station to inform them of her departure from Capital but hadn't asked for her job back.
"She did call us to let us know first that she'd resigned. It was an entirely decent thing to do... She's she's a freelance presenter and back on the market, but she definitely didn't ask for her job back."
