Launching at 12pm CET on September 15, 'MTVNHD' will initially be available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden. The channel will be rolled out to other territories - including the UK, France, Germany, Mexico, Brazil and Spain - by the end of the year.
The 24-hour service will include a mixture of original and acquired shows, including a daily chart countdown programme, an extreme sports series and a weekly show drawing content from the MTV archives. Featured live concerts include Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback and Meatloaf.
Sister channel Nickelodeon will also have a branded presence on the service, with programmes such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron and Mr. Meaty.
MTVNHD will be operated from MTV's Warsaw office.
