JK and Joel quit Virgin Radio

The duo, who presented in a mid-morning slot at weekends, decided to leave "to do yet more TV", according to Virgin's chief operating officer Clive Dickens. They have already fronted ITV1 karaoke show Sing It Back on Saturday nights, as well as CBBC's Hider In The House.
Virgin has now snapped up Jo Russell, co-presenter of Trent FM's Jo & Twiggy breakfast show, to replace the pair.
In a statement, Dickens described Russell as "one of the best-loved commercial radio presenters outside London", adding: "It's great to be able to offer Jo the national platform she deserves."
JK and Joel were recruited by Virgin last year after being dropped by Radio 1. They had hosted the Sunday afternoon chart show and early morning slots on the station.
