Trouble at Oneword

Reports in Publishing News indicate that digital radio station Oneword has laid off all its staff, and axed freelancers.
The publication says that the decision was taken after UBC Media, which owns half of the station, began a restructuring programme. On top of that, USI Holdings - which owns the other fifty percent of the station - has said it intends to withdraw support for Oneword.
Oneword is currently still broadcasting on digital radio, despite the trouble behind-the-scenes. Speaking to Publishing News, the station's chairman, Tim Blackmore, said that UBC was planning to acquire USI's stake in the station and restructure the station's operations.
