New managing editor at BBC Radio Leeds

John Ryan has been appointed the new managing editor at BBC Radio Leeds.
Ryan, who was previously responsible for marketing the corporation's regional output on TV, radio and online, will take over the position on Monday. He said:
"I am delighted to be returning to Yorkshire where I began my career with the BBC. I am looking forward to working with a fantastic team of broadcasters and making some great programmes for the future."
