Janice Hadlow named BBC Two controller
Published Wednesday, Oct 1 2008, 14:45 BST | By James Welsh

Hadlow became controller of BBC Four in July 2004, succeeding the channel's launch controller, Roly Keating, when he moved to BBC Two. Keating was named director of archive content in July.
"There could be no better job in the broadcasting world than that of Controller of BBC Two," said Hadlow. "For me, there's no channel that's more exciting, more original, more enticing and above all, more important. Growing up, it was BBC Two that helped shape my vision of the world, with its distinctive mix of intelligence, authority and wit.
"I'm conscious that, in taking on the Controllership, I'll be following in the footsteps of some the greatest names in broadcasting, and look forward to doing all I can to live up to the high standards they have set and building on all Roly Keating has achieved over the last four years."
The position of BBC Four controller will be advertised "in the next few weeks".
