Sachs "not surprised" at suspensions

Andrew Sachs has said he is "not surprised" at today's decision by the BBC to suspend Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross and take all their shows off the air.
However, Sachs added that he does not intend to take the matter to the police and said he is "not out for revenge". His granddaughter Georgina Baillie, who has hired PR guru Max Clifford, told The Sun that Brand and Ross "should at least pay for what they've done with their jobs".
Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, which was to have featured appearances from Sir David Attenborough, Frank Skinner, Miley Cyrus and The Killers, will not be filmed today and a replacement programme will air in its timeslot this week. Radio 2 has pulled the Saturday programmes presented by Ross and Brand from its schedule.
