BBC 6 Music adjusts schedule

BBC 6 Music's schedule will be revamped in April, it was announced on Friday.
Lesley Douglas, controller of Radio 2 and 6 Music, said:
"BBC 6 Music is one of the most exciting radio stations in the country.
"Its listeners love it, and events such as the Radiohead Selector at Christmas prove that interest in it is high.
"I am delighted that we have been able to strengthen the station even further by these changes.
"The new schedule will allow greater interactivity and an even greater commitment to covering music in depth.
"Its line-up is already second to none in digital radio and I am pleased to confirm that Phill Jupitus is to continue to present the Breakfast Show."
Marc Riley, aka 'Lard' from 'Mark & Lard,' will present a new show on Saturday lunchtimes from April 3. Vic McGlynn will take over the weekday lunchtime show (1-4pm) from April 5. Other changes include:

- Chris Hawkins presents the Official New Music Chart beginning April 3, 4-6pm, Saturdays
- Steve Lamacq moves to Sundays beginning April 4, 1-4pm
- Craig Charles' Funk Show adds a Friday night edition beginning April 9, 8-11pm
- Stuart Maconie will present the Freak Zone from April 4
- Liz Kershaw moves to the weekend late-morning slot from April 3
