BBC airs Bale tape unedited on 'Breakfast'
The clip was introduced just before 7am by presenters Charlie Stayt and Susanna Reid. The full tape lasts nearly four minutes, with over thirty utterings of "f*ck"; after the first "f*ck" went out on BBC One's air, a shriek was heard in the studio, the tape was cut off and a visibly shocked Susanna Reid offered "an enormous apology".
In a statement, the BBC said: "A technical error led to us broadcasting an unacceptable swear word on Breakfast this morning – we apologised on air immediately afterwards and another apology was given at the end of the programme. We also pulled a later repeat of the item. We are sorry for any offence caused."
