The daughter of ex-Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was axed from The One Show after making the comments in front of guests and hosts in the green room following a recording of the programme.
Thatcher, 55, has since apologised to the corporation for the remarks. Her agent told the Sunday Express: "It's been an awful time. We've even had death threats. I've been involved in some high-profile things in my career but nothing like this."
The journalist was crowned Queen of the Jungle in ITV's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in 2005, beating Sheree Murphy and Sid Owen to the top spot.
