SPL issues Setanta reassurance

The Scottish Premier League has said that Setanta has made all its payments on time amid reports that the sports broadcaster is trying to renegotiate its £150m deal with the Football Association.
Setanta is understood to be seeking an adjustment to the payment schedule for its rights to The FA Cup, and press reports suggest that it has held back a £10m payment while the talks take place.
"We are in regular touch with Setanta and are aware of the broader issues they face," a spokesperson for the SPL said. "Our contract with Setanta is confidential like all our commercial contracts, but we confirm that they are fully up to date with all their payments."
The FA has thus far not commented on today's reports.
