Brand calls Ross on return to radio

Russell Brand is expected to mark his return to radio tonight with a telephone call to presenter Jonathan Ross.

The comic quit the BBC last October after he and Ross left lewd messages on Andrew Sachs's answering machine.

Brand will return to TalkSport radio tonight with co-host Noel Gallagher for a two-hour pre-recorded football special.

The BBC reports that the one-off will kick off with Ross questioning: "You're not back on the radio, are you?" Ross was suspended for three months for his part in the Manuelgate row, while Ofcom fined the BBC £150,000 earlier this month for the duo's "offensive, humiliating and demeaning" conduct.
