The DJ is expected to re-sign with the station within the next few weeks, despite speculation that his breakfast slot would be given to a younger star.
An insider told the News Of The World: "The money side of things are still being thrashed out but it's likely he's going to take a very small pay cut.
"We are in a recession after all - but the cut won't be on the same level as Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton."
It is believed that Moyles currently receives £630,000 per year for hosting his morning programme. He has fronted the show since 2004, when he replaced Sara Cox in the breakfast slot.
