ITV lands 'Harry Potter', 'Matrix'

The contract, announced today, covers films from the studio's 2003, 2004 and 2005 theatrical slate including Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Last Samurai, Troy and Ocean’s 11, as well as the upcoming Ocean’s 12, The Polar Express and Alexander.
Movies from the WB archive such as Unforgiven, The Fugitive, The Matrix, Maverick, Lethal Weapon and Wild, Wild West are also part of the deal, which covers film showings on ITV1, ITV2 and the soon-to-launch ITV3.
"This deal offers an incredible slate of top flight films from the hugely successful Warner Bros. Pictures stable," said Nigel Pickard, ITV's director of programmes. "We are delighted to have secured these films for ITV’s family of channels and look forward to screening them for our viewers."
