Sky One's sister channel Sky Mix will turn over its schedule to girl-related programming for a live one-day event later this month.
It's A Girl Thing!, sponsored by Barbie, will air on the channel between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Thursday, October 28 during the half-term break.
Presenters include CBBC's Kate Heavenor, Disney's Abbie Pethullis and the late Paula Yates' daughter Pixie Geldof. Celebrity guests will include Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Gigi Morley, while music will be provided by S Club 8 singers Frankie and Calvin.
The content of the show itself will be decided by an "advisory board" of girls aged 9-11. Planned strands include Top To Toe for £50, where high-street shops are trawled to find a celebrity-worthy outfit for under £50, Halloween Preview, with tips on how to throw a ‘Trick or Treat’ party and Dancing Divas, where girls "with a passion for dance" will have to learn a girl/boy band’s dance routine.
