BT furthers content over broadband plans
Published Tuesday, Nov 30 2004, 05:57 GMT | By James Welsh

BT Retail chief Pierre Danon acknowledged that broadband was "a fledgling mass market" and said that providing entertainment over high-speed connections was a "natural next step for BT in driving further value for new and existing broadband customers."
Andrew Burke, the current director of value added services at BT Retail, will head up the new division. Dan Marks, currently president of Universal Studios Networks UK, will lead video-over-broadband service development.
"The setting up of this division shows BT's commitment to being at the leading edge of broadband developments in the UK and maximising the opportunities enabled within the home," said Marks.
