Sandilands is currently en route to Sydney from Los Angeles for the meeting where his future with 2Day FM is expected to be decided.
Austereo executive chairman Peter Harvie is said to want the star sacked after damaging the radio network's reputation and believing "he's bigger than the station".
"This is a test of wills and this guy's got to go," an Austereo source told the newspaper.
Earlier this week, Sandilands was suspended from his hosting duties after causing outrage by saying Kath & Kim actress Magda Szubanski could lose more weight if she entered a concentration camp.
