FilmFour, FilmFour +1 and FilmFour Weekly will be unencrypted on Christmas Day to give Sky and ntl:home subscribers a chance to sample the channels.
During this time, FilmFour will show six films which will include Jean Cocteau’s French adaptation of the classic fairytale Beauty and the Beast titled La Belle et la Bête, Spellbound which follows eight teenagers as they battle it out to win America's National Spelling Bee, Oscar nominated Brazilian hit City of God about gang warfare in the slums of Rio and cult 1970s horror The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Over on FilmFour Weekly viewers will be able to watch an animated version of Charles Dickens's classic festive tale A Christmas Carol featuring the voices of Kate Winslet, Nicholas Cage and Jane Horrocks, British comedy East Is East about a Muslim family growing up and getting into mischief in Salford and the original version of the Clooney remake Solaris.
Meanwhile, Artsworld will be unencrypted on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day for Sky customers. The channel broadcasts daily from 2pm until midnight and can be found on EPG number 157.
