Commercial radio stations unite for Asia
Published Thursday, Jan 13 2005, 13:11 GMT | By Daniel Saney

The project, UK Radio Aid, is expected to be heard by a record 30 million listeners across 250 radio stations.
The 12-hour broadcast will feature contributions from the biggest names in radio (such as Chris Evans), sports celebrities, musicians, TV stars and British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Each hour will see two presenters introducing live acoustic sets, interviews and fundraising competitions and auctions.
In addition to telephone donations from listeners each station will donate a day's profit to the relief fund.
