UKTV appoints director of commissioning
UKTV has promoted Jane Rogerson into the newly created director of commissioning role overseeing the firm's entire portfolio of multiplatform channels.

Departing her current job as UKTV director of factual and entertainment commissioning, Rogerson will take on the new position immediately.

She will manage the eight-strong in-house commissioning team which acquires 600 hours of original content for channels such as Watch, Dave and Good Food. In the role, she will continue to report directly to UKTV controller Matthew Littleford.

"I am thrilled Jane will be leading our truly talented commissioning team in this newly created role," Littleford said.

"Over the last two years she's delivered a wide variety of high rating, noisy shows including Fawlty Towers Re-opened, Gutted and DomJoly's Made in Britain that have helped define and elevate our evocative portfolio of channel brands, all while raising UKTV's within the indie community to unprecedented levels."

Rogerson joined UKTV in September 2007 to co-lead the newly created commissioning team with outgoing director of entertainment commissioning Lisa Perrin.

She previously worked as factual controller at ITV and also fulfilled various roles in the independent production sector.
