Watts, who chose to remain with Nova 969 after his partner of 11 years Tim Ross decided to leave the show, said that he is looking forward to working with the pair next year.
In a statement released by AAP, Watts said: "I've interviewed Ricki-Lee many times before and can now look forward to interviewing her each and every weekday morning from 6am."
He added: "Scott got the job because he barracks for the same footy team as me. He also likes beer and telling strange stories that go nowhere, so we have heaps in common."
Coulter rose to fame as a contestant on Australian Idol five years ago, while Dooley has hosted Triple J's drivetime show for the past two years.
