The presenter announced this morning that he will quit the broadcaster after 13 years with the corporation.
Writing on his Twitter page, Ross said: "Thanks for all the kind words about my decision. I feel sad that I can't keep making the shows so many of you love!
"Don't worry, I won't stop tweeting!"
Bookmaker SkyBet has made Mark Lamarr the 5/1 favourite to replace Ross in his Saturday morning radio slot. Graham Norton is at 1/3 to take over his Friday night chatshow.
Five Live movie critic Mark Kermode is also 1/3 to take Ross's position on the BBC's Film 2010.
