Neil Fox has quit London's Capital FM after 18 years with the broadcaster.
The DJ, who hosts the station's drivetime show, will be replaced by ex Blue Peter host Richard Bacon. Bacon himself has announced he will be quitting his BBC7 breakfast radio show to take up the new role.
"I have been and always will be a radio man but I've got a lot of ITV shows coming up and I've learned you just can't do it all," said Fox today. "I'm chuffed for Richard, he's a great broadcaster."
Keith Pringle, Capital MD, added: "Foxy and I have been in discussions for a while about his increasing TV commitments and it was clear he couldn’t keep up his daily show on Capital. I’m very excited about Richard joining Capital FM, as he’s a sparkling talent who is as smart as he is funny."
