Paramount Comedy has picked up the UK rights to the next series of cult cartoon South Park.
The station has secured season eight from MTV Networks, which distributes the show internationally. Up until now, Sky One has been its multichannel home in the UK.
"South Park has been on our wish-list for some time and we are thrilled to be working with MTV Networks on such a key acquisition," said Heather Jones, Paramount Comedy's general manager.
"The show reflects our ongoing commitment to provide viewers with the best new comedy from around the world, alongside much-loved favourites."
The new season will premiere in April. As part of the deal, Paramount will also screen repeats of seasons one through six later in the year.
