According to The Hollywood Reporter, the news left 2009 profits down 28% at $2.3bn (£2.4bn) and gain for the latest quarter amounting to $602m (£373m).
It is being reported that the beginning of 2010 will lead to as-grim results for the network. The Vancouver Olympics broadcast is to mark a loss of $250m (£155m).
First quarter ad demand is "pretty good" for the Olympics with some slightly better-than-expected revenue possible, but GE nonetheless expects the loss, General Electric (NBC's parent company) CFO Keith Sherin said.
GE management only mentioned the Jay Leno-Conan O'Brien situation in passing, without providing any new insight.
