Akon leaves Capital FM after one show

The multiplatinum-selling R&B star only joined Capital FM earlier in the month to present a two-hour slot on Saturday evenings from 7pm, starting on February 13.
However, he hosted just one show at the Global Radio-owned station before previous incumbent Dave Kelly returned to the slot last Saturday.
A Global Radio spokesman confirmed that Akon would not be returning to the show as he is working on a new album, but could appear on the station in the future.
"Due to Akon's commitments, including working on a brand new album, we won't be broadcasting a regular show on 95.8 Capital FM for the time being," said the spokesman.
"Our conversations about future shows are ongoing as we explore other opportunities that may work for both of us."
