Discovery to rebrand Health, Home & Leisure

Discovery Home & Leisure and Discovery Health are to be relaunched in the UK on May 7th as part of the broadcaster's strategy to create a portfolio of channels, aimed at markets outside the US, under the Discovery Lifestyle Networks brand.
Women's lifestyle channel Discovery Health will be rebranded Discovery Home & Health while male-oriented Discovery Real Time will replace Discovery Home & Leisure. Discovery Real Time will showcase a mix of programming on leisure pursuits across home improvement, sports, gaming and technology.
The two channels join Discovery Travel & Living which was repositioned on February 1st.
"We are committed to defining and investing in the lifestyle genre worldwide with Discovery Lifestyle Networks," said Rebecca Batties, senior vice president, creative development and brand management, Discovery Networks International.
"Having introduced these new brands we will now shift our focus to acquiring and developing the most innovative and entertaining lifestyle content in the world," she added.
