Five to simulcast Sky News on election night
Five will simulcast the Sky News coverage of election night on May 5, it was announced today.

Vote 05, anchored jointly by Five News presenter Julie Etchingham and Sky's political editor Adam Boulton, will simulcast on the channel between midnight and 6am on the evening of May 5.

"We are delighted that Sky News will have its first terrestrial platform for an Election Night," said Nick Pollard, head of Sky News. "Viewers will be offered a fresh alternative to the usual suspects with Sky's fast-paced, live coverage."

The programme will begin three hours earlier on Sky News, where viewers will also have access to a pioneering 16-screen interactive service.

Five's coverage will go head-to-head with offerings from the BBC and ITV.
