Published Thursday, May 12 2005, 05:23 BST | By James Welsh
E4 has confirmed plans to broadcast 24 hours a day, with a new "Music Zone" block of programming to air from 6am to 2pm daily.
The channel, which is currently only on air from 2pm to 4am, will as usual provide live streaming coverage from the Big Brother house during the series' upcoming sixth season. Once BB ends, the E4 Music Zone will air daily.
The news coincides with the launch of a music download store featuring unsigned bands on Channel 4's website.
