Field 'fed up' with Sandilands jibes

An Australian newsreader has quit his job because of co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, according to reports.

Geoff Field, who has worked on the 2DayFM breakfast show alongside the controversial pair for seven years, had allegedly had enough of Sandilands's practical jokes and jibes towards him.

Field reportedly left the show when Sandilands wrongly accused him on air of being drunk at a recent Austereo function.

Field has now apparently accepted a job as newsreader and entertainment reporter on Hamish Blake and Andy Lee's drivetime show.

On yesterday's show, Sandilands said: "He's off this [show] and on to that [one] and good luck to him. But really, once they leave they're dead to me."

Last year, Sandilands and Jackie O hit headlines after they grilled a teenage rape victim about her sex life live on air.
